With this project, I wanted to portray both the negative and positive aspects of various human relationships through the environment/surroundings of each piece. 

I explored ideas having to do with feelings of toxicity, excitement, and solitude between humans. From these concepts, I created detailed, representational landscapes that illustrate relationships between people and their interconnection with the world that surrounds them.

I chose to use silhouettes in particular because I did not want to identify each figure as a specific person. I wanted them to be representational of people in general so that a more collective group would be able to resonate with the works.
