ABOUT ME

Victoria Harrison is a Chinese-American visual artist currently based in Denver, Colorado. Harrison has a diverse repertoire of mediums that she works with including painting/drawing, photography, and mixed media. Her projects expand across two-dimensional as well as three-dimensional work.
Much of Harrison’s work focuses on her culture, individual identity, human relationships, and the natural world. Often times her projects are embedded with a darker, deeper atmosphere as she reflects on subject matter that tends to have sorrowful/serious undertones. She generates her art in a way that presents the human condition with an empathetic but unrelenting eye.
Harrison says: “I want to be able to make works that others find beautiful or impactful – things that touch them and make them think or feel. A lot of my recent work combines some sort of visual aesthetic beauty with a narrative. By doing this, I am able to draw people in with visuals, but when they look closer, they are able to see it is not simply a pretty picture, but that there is also a story and deeper meaning behind it.”
